Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to live on campus as Full-time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes, supervising and mentoring a group of approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role starts with a nine-on / three-off cycle and can transition into a Placed Houseparent position with continued care for the same student group. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits. Applicants must be a legally married couple, both spouses aged 27 or older, and able to meet requirements for driving student transports and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and chapel services
- Two-person married couple role
- On-campus residence with students
- Full-time schedule nine days on, three days off
- Placed Houseparent progression
- Background or experience with youth preferred
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet restrictions (fish and one dog)
