Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for married couples to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and guidance for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off cycle and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Salary per person is reported with comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance provided.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year married minimum for both spouses
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Ability to manage household routines and student schedules
