Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes to care for 8–13 students, providing supervision, mentorship, and a structured family-like environment. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proselytizing prohibited during devotions and chapel services
- Transportation/driving responsibilities for student activities
