Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and participate in 9-on/3-off rotating schedules before transitioning to a placed houseparent role with a consistent student home. This is a two-person, married-couple position requiring both spouses to apply individually; benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, paid time off, and housing/meal provisions on duty.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse, married-couple requirement for the role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Commitment to safety policies (smoke-free and weapon-free campus)
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Proven integrity and professionalism
