Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of about 8–13 students; responsibilities include daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, activity planning, devotions and chapel, budgeting, and reporting. The role transitions from nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Requires experience with youth, on-campus housing responsibilities, driving duties, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Offers relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits; salary per person around $46,917, with total compensation for couples ~ $180,000 including housing and meals. Two-spouse requirement and applications for each spouse are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Two-person role for couples while living with students
