Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, attending Sunday Chapel, and handling budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule, with eventual placement into a fixed student-home assignment. It requires living on campus with a legally married partner for at least two years, both spouses aged 27 or older, and a high school diploma or GED. The position offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and housing included as part of total compensation per couple.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse employment requirement (both spouses must apply)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to supervise and mentor youth
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proven integrity and professionalism
- Capacity to drive student vans when certified
- Willingness to live in on-campus homes and follow a schedule (nine on, three off)
