Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) at Milton Hershey School oversee on-campus student homes with a group of about 8–13 youths. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel services, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule begins with a nine-on/three-off cycle and transitions to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires proven experience with youth, a valid US driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus. Compensation includes per-person salary of $44,768 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance; on-campus housing and meals provided. Must be legally married for at least two years, with both spouses aged 27 or older, and they must submit separate applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Mayfield, KY
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Chapel services
- Two-person, married-couple role eligibility
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
