Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities, plan recreational engagements, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social development. This full-time flex role requires married couples residing on campus for nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. Upon hire, staff support various homes before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. The school offers a cost-free education to over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, with comprehensive benefits including housing, meals, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
