Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents (married couples) reside on on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School to supervise and mentor groups of 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent when aligned with a single student home. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license (with ability to become certified to drive student home vans), the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits. This is a two-spouse, co-employment opportunity; both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Committment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Completion of individual employment applications by both spouses

- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
