Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes while managing household routines, schedules, and medication administration. Drive students to activities, plan recreational engagements, lead daily devotions, and accompany them to Sunday Chapel services. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, ensuring a structured, family-like environment supports academic, emotional, and social development. Transition from supporting multiple homes to a Placed Houseparent role after initial hire. Requires a married couple (at least two years) with youth experience, valid driver's license, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
