Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Houseparents (Flex to placed) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Residents live in on-campus student homes, provide daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation of students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a steady student-home assignment. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person employment applications required for consideration
