Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person team) live on-campus at Milton Hershey School to supervise and guide a group of about 8–13 students in a family-style home. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed home setting with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($46,917) with total compensation around $180,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, and paid time off. Qualifications require a high school diploma or GED, experience with youth, and a two-year married partnership for both spouses, with age minimums and other campus-life expectations.
