Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, administering medications, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational programs, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role begins as nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single student-home assignment. Benefits include housing, meals, insurance, retirement options, paid time off, relocation assistance, and paid training. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27 or older, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift 50 lbs., plus driver’s license and safety compliance; candidate must comply with campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol) and lead students in Judeo-Christian services.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
