Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in Milton Hershey School student homes, providing supervision, mentorship, daily routines, medication administration, transportation for activities, and active engagement in developmental and recreational activities. They lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and will transition from nine days on duty followed by three days off to a placed houseparent role, living with the same group of students in their own home. The role includes benefits and relocation assistance, with on-campus housing and meals while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person married couple with at least two years of marriage
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
Additional Requirements
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Spouses both aged 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
