Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed Houseparent role living and working with the same student group. Benefits include relocation assistance and a comprehensive package, with housing and meals provided. This two-person, married-couple role requires both spouses to apply separately.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No alcohol on duty
- Smoke-free campus
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
