Job Summary
Milton Hershey School is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents who reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and development support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a future transition to a fixed home with the same student group. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free campus and weapon-free environment; no alcohol on duty
- Valid U.S. driver7; license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
