Job Summary
Married couples serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus at Milton Hershey School, living in on-campus student homes and supervising 8–13 students. They provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, transport students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions, accompany students to Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and may transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)

- Two-person married couple required for consideration
- Must reside on-campus in student homes as on-site housing is provided.
