Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person couple) reside on campus in student homes to supervise ~8–13 students, provide mentorship, oversee household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead devotions, and manage budgeting/reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and evolves into a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA, with on-site housing, meals on duty, comprehensive benefits, and paid training. Requires two-year marriage minimum, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; religious services are part of routine but proselytizing is prohibited. Relocation assistance provided; salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for legally married couples, at least two years married
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free campus; weapons-free campus
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
