Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent team at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA reside in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide care and guidance, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided. Requires high school diploma or GED, a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses aged 27+, valid driver’s licenses, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to lead spiritual activities within a smoke-free, weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Legally married for at least two years (two-person role)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Two-person married couple employment requirement (both spouses must apply)
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
