Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include a salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, PTO, and on-duty housing/meals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married commitment (both spouses)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to reside in on-campus student homes
- willingness to follow a fixed schedule (nine days on, three off)
- background check and campus safety compliance

Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- On-campus residence with on-duty requirements
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds
