Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision and development for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided, with salary of $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 per couple) including housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Living on-campus in student homes and supervising 8–13 students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Comprehensive benefits including health, retirement, etc.

- Planned schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Proselytizing prohibited while on duty (Judeo-Christian Chapel services)
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol permitted while on duty

- Ready for on-campus housing and on-duty presence
