Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in student homes and supervise 8–13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and programs. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentoring, managing routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like home environment. Initially working nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a steady Houseparent in the same student home. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and housing/meals/utilities on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Commitment to daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Chapel
- Background in youth work/volunteering
- Two-person employment applications required for consideration
