Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from a Flex Houseparent in nine days on/three days off to a Placed Houseparent living with the same students. The position emphasizes a structured, family-like environment and requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years to live and work together in a student home, with relocation assistance and paid training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse two-year marriage minimum
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
