Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role for married couples to reside on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially, 9 consecutive days on duty followed by 3 days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living situation for the same student group. Benefits include a salary of $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 per couple), comprehensive insurance, retirement benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
