Job Summary
Family-centric, on-campus full-time Flex Houseparent role for a married couple at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a supportive home environment. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three off, with progression to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Location involves relocation support to Hershey, PA, with comprehensive benefits and housing included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status for couples
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
