Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School will be a Full-time Flex Houseparent role, a two-person position for married couples residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting and reporting for the household. The role initially follows a nine-on, three-off schedule, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Relocation is provided with benefits including comprehensive health/dental/vision insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
