Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: full-time Flex Houseparents living on-campus in Hershey, PA, providing supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation, devotional activities, budgeting, and household management for a group of approximately 8–13 students; initial nine days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group. Benefits include relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
