Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision and mentorship to groups of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus student homes. Responsibilities include managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts as a Flex Houseparent with a nine-on, three-off schedule and progresses to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance is provided and benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, health savings, retirement options, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Two spouses married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Must be married for at least two years as a couple
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
