Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning/developing developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial nine-on/three-off duty cycle with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in the same student home. Requires relocation, on-site housing, comprehensive benefits, and a commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus with family-oriented, Judeo-Christian programming. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
