Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus in Hershey, PA, overseeing a group of 8–13 students in a family-like home. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role starts with a nine-on/three-off schedule across multiple homes, with a transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans, and a two-spouse, legally married couple requirement aged 27 or older. The position offers relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and paid time off, with on-campus housing and meals provided during duty. Proselytizing is prohibited, and the campus is smoke-free and weapon-free.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to reside in on-campus student homes and work as a two-person team
