Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents, a two-person role for married couples, reside on campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing supervision, mentorship, and support for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. After an initial nine-on/two-three-off schedule, couples transition to living and working with the same student group in their own home; relocation assistance and paid training are provided, and benefits include comprehensive insurance and retirement options.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-spouse team (two-person role)
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol allowed on duty
