Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple opening for Full-time Flex Houseparents at a residential school. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, including daily supervision, creating a family-like environment, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, and budgeting/reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same student group. Relocation to Polk County, FL is provided with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits. Requires completion of individual applications by both spouses, and adherence to campus safety, smoke-free and weapon-free policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years married (two-spouse role)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- No alcohol on duty on campus
- Ability to live on-campus in student homes and drive students to activities
