Job Summary
Two-person married couple role serving as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School, residing in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a consistent student home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; comprehensive benefits are included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Desire to lead students in devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
