Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students while managing household routines and schedules. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and chapel services. Plan developmental and recreational activities, oversee budgeting and reporting, and ensure student wellness. Work nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus. Married couples must be at least 27 years old with no more than three dependent children in the home.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
