Job Summary
Houseparents (married couples) reside on-campus in student homes to provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for ~8–13 students. Full-time Flex Houseparents administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and follow a schedule of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off. After hire, couples may transition to a Placed Houseparent role while remaining in the same student home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided as part of the compensation package; total compensation for the couple is approximately $168,000 when including housing and benefits. Must be a legally married two-person team, with both spouses aged 27 or older, and meet housing, licensing, and safety requirements. This role requires on-campus residence, extensive student interaction, and adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-person role; both spouses must apply
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth either in employment or volunteering
