Job Summary
Two-person married couples are hired as Full-time Flex Houseparents to reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel visits, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-on/three-off duty schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; the role requires both spouses to complete individual applications and supports a fully on-campus housing arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in student home
- Comfort leading daily devotions and participating in Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
