Job Summary
Houseparents - Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and supervising budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided. Requires a two-person married couple team, both spouses 27 or older, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Commitment to campus safety policies (smoke-free and weapon-free, no alcohol while on duty)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
