Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person, married couple) live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of 8–13 students in a residential home. Roles include daily supervision, medication administration, driving to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and supporting multiple student homes before transitioning to a placed houseparent in a single student home. This is a Full-time Flex Houseparent position with relocation to Hershey, PA; benefits include health insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and relocation assistance. Compensation is $44,768 per person (~$168,000 per couple) including housing and meals on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples (must apply individually)
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
