Job Summary
Two-personFull-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School on-campus in Hershey, PA, reside in student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine consecutive days on duty with three days off to a placed home assignment with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple role (must be legally married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes
- Experience working with youth (volunteering acceptable)
Additional Requirements
- Must be a two-person married couple for consideration
- No smoking or weapon use on campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds only
