Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple role as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement savings, PTO, and on-duty meals/housing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Additional Requirements
- Two-person role for married couple
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
