Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, fostering academic, emotional, and social development. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and following a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule (with eventual transition to Placed Houseparent). Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits and housing. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse role must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
