Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents provide daily supervision and mentorship to a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a working nine-on/two-off (nine consecutive days on, three days off) schedule before transitioning to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group in their own home.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
Additional Requirements
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Two-person role for couples; both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA
- On-campus housing provided as part of compensation
