Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents residing in on-campus student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, and supervision of approximately 8–13 students. They drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, and transition from initial nine-days-on/three-days-off schedules to a placed houseparent arrangement with the same group of students. The role requires strong youth-care experience, ability to lead activities and devotions, and adherence to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, along with a valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The compensation is $46,917 per person per year, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
