Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students living in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-on/three-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Requires a two-person, married couple team, both aged 27+, with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke- and alcohol-free campus; relocation assistance is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of marriage for both spouses
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Ability to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
