Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in on-campus homes by managing routines, administering medications, and driving students to activities. Plan and lead recreational and developmental engagements while overseeing household budgets and reporting. Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel services. Work a schedule of nine consecutive duty days followed by three days off, transitioning eventually to a Placed Houseparent role with a specific student group. Requires a legally married couple (both 27+), valid driver's license, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
