Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance within on-campus student homes for 8–13 students, manage household routines and budgeting, administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role starts as Full-time Flex Houseparents with a nine-on, three-off schedule and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Requires a legally married two-person couple, both spouses age 27+, and a high school diploma or GED. Includes relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and a total compensation around $168,000 per couple.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in devotions and Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Living/working with same group of students in student home
- On-campus residence and supervision of 8–13 students
- Residential setting with caregiving responsibilities
- Ability to transition from nine days on/three days off to placed houseparent position
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
