Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two-person married couple) sought to live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, medication administration, budgeting and reporting, coordinating student schedules and activities, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits provided; requires a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses 27+, high school diploma or GED, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for married couples
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Relocation assistance provided
- Placed houseparent progression after initial period
- Respect for student safety and wellbeing
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Possession of valid driver’s license and ability to drive student vans
- Age 27+ for both spouses
