Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in student homes, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a nine-on, three-off schedule before transitioning to a consistent home assignment. Compensation per person is $46,917 with total couple package around $180,000 including housing; relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided. Requires married couples (two-person role), both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus rules.
Required Qualifications

- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children in home
