Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents are needed at Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging students in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role with the same cohort. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid U.S. driver’s license, with relocation to Hershey, PA and a comprehensive benefits package including relocation assistance and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
