Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: married couples reside on-campus in student homes, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting. Nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a placed houseparent living and working with the same group. Salary $44,768 per person (approx. $168,000 total per couple with benefits and housing); relocation assistance provided. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and for both spouses to be 27+ years old with at least two years of marriage; no more than three dependent children; smoke-free and weapon-free campus. This is a two-person role; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to participate in devotions and Chapel services (Judeo-Christian)
